In this episode, we explore a question posed by a listener who is curious about dating women but is worried about missing the companionship that she has received while dating men. We discuss the importance of questioning and breaking down socially constructed gender roles in relationships. As we untangle these constructs, we learn that love knows no gender and exists well beyond the constructs we have been socialized to believe. With this knowledge, we are free to embrace our relationships, specifically in the LGBTQ+ community, in their entirety without judgment.

In this episode, we receive an email from a listener who is navigating living at home with unaccepting parents and is contemplating moving out at the risk of her parents cutting her off financially. How do you heal and feel better when your parents are causing you pain but are not acknowledging their actions? At what point does living freely and happily outweigh the risk of doing so? We discuss the nuance and complexity of these questions and how to mindfully handle the painful and confusing emotions that arise when navigating dealing with unaccepting parents. Can our parents truly love us if they are rejecting us? To what extent, and at what point in our healing, can we work to understand our parent's fears and conditioning from their own upbringing? As always, we close on a positive note, highlighting that pain is often a prerequisite for growth, and that no matter how difficult a situation is, happiness is always on the horizon.

In this episode, we explore our first question from a listener: how do you find the courage to take the leap and explore your sexuality when you feel like you're "happy enough"? We discuss the difference between comfortability and happiness, and break down the different types of attraction, i.e., intellectual, emotional, and sexual. We discuss how the intimacy of relationships can cause confusion, especially when identifying as bi-sexual.  Is it possible to truly characterize or identify our sexuality?  Does it matter what box or label we fall into?  Is it even possible to pinpoint an identity if we, as humans, are constantly in flux?  We highlight the importance of detaching from the false narratives we've created about our identity. Ultimately, we conclude that coming to terms with your sexuality is a larger awakening, and such awakening allows you to live authentically in every aspect of life.  F
